Project Description

3 Seawater Desalination Plants in Argelia

The Skikda desalination, and Benisaf Honaine plants are designed to treat seawater by reverse osmosis, with a guaranteed production capacity of 100,000 m3/day of desalinated water to 200,000 m3/day for Skikda and Beni Saf and Honaine. After capture by pumping seawater to the plant, we proceed to sifting and filtering in the gallery filter sand and anthracite. Then, after a chemical treatment for removal of impurities and microorganisms, the water is conducted through the cartridge filters to the reverse osmosis modules. The pressure unit provides 60 bars of pressure needed reverse osmosis membranes to achieve nanometer filtration. Once filtered, the water is desalinated in a tower remineraliza dolomite before moving to the feed tank to the external network supply for human consumption.
